Microchip has introduced the SST39VF80xC and SST39VF160xC NOR Flash memory devices which combine small size, low power consumption and high performance. The SST39VF80xC offers 8 Mbit of memory while the SST39VF160xC offers 16 Mbit. The 3 V, x 16 parallel devices feature a typical active current as low as 5 mA and typical standby current of 3 μA. In addition to offering high reliability, they feature fixed program and erase times that do not deteriorate over time. The typical program time for the SST39VF80xC is 7 μs, with access times of 55 ns and 70 ns. Both devices offer industry-compatible command sets.
