Spectroscopy: Absorption Spectroscopy, Floresence Spectroscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, UV-VIS Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy
Spectroscopy is a field of analytical chemistry that uses X-ray spectra of elements for analysis of chemical substances. X-ray analysis by position and the intensity of the characteristic lines of the spectrum allow for quantitative and qualitative composition of substances and are used to express non-destructive testing of composition of material. Spectroscopy is based on the use of the frequency dependence of the radiation lines of the characteristic spectrum of elements from their atomic numbers and the link between the intensity of these lines and the number of atoms taking part in the radiation. In simple words it is measurement of signal vs. energy. Well known branches of Spectroscopy are: Absorption Spectroscopy, Floresence Spectroscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, UV-VIS Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy.
