Microscopy: Optical Microscopy, Electron Microscopy, X-ray Microscopy

Microscopy Introduction ImageMicroscopy is a scientific field which involves using microscopes for magnifying samples or objects which cannot be seen with the human eye. The goal is to render these objects visible for research, allowing researchers to study those objects or samples, their structure, composition, and how they work. There are a number of different types of microscopy: optical microscopy, x-ray microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, scanning probe microscopy, Nomarski microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning tunneling microscopy, scanning ion microscopy, analytical electron microscopy, electron microprobe analyzers and numerous other fields of microscopy that have innumerable applications for it. However, there are three well-known branches of Microscopy: Optical Microscopy, Electron Microscopy and X-ray Microscopy.
